Doomed to Fail podcast features stories of historical disasters and failures
>> Taylor: Hello and welcome to Doomed to Fail. My name is Taylor, and along with my friend Pharz, we bring you stories of historical disasters and failures. We started off, as you may know, as a more true crimey and relationship focused. But I have a bunch of murder episodes that I've been recapping and here's a couple that we didn't already talk about. Episode one, Part two is on Lori Vallow and Chad Diebell. This episode one, you also give us grace when listening to it. But also, I hate these two. I think since then they've been both sentenced to, you know, a lot of years in prison. But like the pictures of them getting married is the people getting married so happy when they'd already murdered people. Children is wild. Episode three, Part two, another family murder. Sorry. Is about the Thoth family in. Okay, several things. One, Thoth is their last name. T O D T. That means dead in German. I know that that is weird. They lived in Celebration Florida, which is that fake a** Disney town next to Disney World, where now, I don't know. I can only assume everybody has the measles. And it's not. It wasn't great. It's actually really awful. He's in jail. Episode eight, Part one. This is actually a super interesting historical, I think moment is the D.C. snipers. If you remember, it was in the 90s and someone was shooting people at gas stations. They didn't know where it was coming from. And just the idea that you shot wherever you are in like Maryland and around Washington D.C. was really scary. And then it was all about grooming and PTSD and just wild. Episode 18, Part 1 is about Bernie Teed. He is a man who killed an older woman for her money, essentially. Episode 20, part one is about fatty Arbuckle. This is a maybe murder. He was acquitted and he. But his career was never the same. I'm not convinced that he did it, but I don't know. Let me know what you think. Episode 21, Part 2 is about Grady Stiles, who is a person who was in a. Like a sideshow because he had like hand deformities. But he also was a murderer. So FYI, episode 57 is about the Chessboard killer. I don't remember anything that was episode. So, you know, anyway, episode 81 is about Stephen Glass, a journalist who was potentially killed also. And episode 91 is about going postal, which is the idea of kind of like a workplace annihilator. That has happened several times at the US Post Office. So talk a little bit about that. I'm Keen to continue to blame Ronald Reagan for everything. And then finally, episode 104 is about Skidmore, Missouri, which is the place where Ken McElroy lived. I think I talked about him last week or the week before, and he's someone who the whole town killed because he was a jerk. It's a very small town, but, like, there's a lot of trauma and crazy things that happened there. So check that out. So those are our murder episodes. I recapped it this week, last week and the week before. If you have any ideas or questions or stories that you want us to talk about, please let us know.
