Doom is to Fail brings you historical disasters and failures every week
>> Taylor: Hello and welcome to Doom is to Fail. We bring you historical disasters and failures every week and, well, I guess except this week because we're doing some re releases because we're traveling and we have over 200 episodes. They're all ad free. We have a bunch of fun stories, but we of course have murder stories when we started our show. So I'm Taylor. I work with my friend Fars, and he and I were doing like true crime and history relationships. That's what we were thinking. And then it kind of expanded into whatever we, whatever we felt like. And we've learned, honestly, we've learned so much. But because of that, we have so many true crime episodes, not even enough to do a recap in one. So I'm going to do it in three parts and then do some RE releases. So for Murder Part one, I'm going to highlight a whole bunch of episodes. I'll walk you through them and you can find them wherever you listen to podcasts and in the long show notes for this episode. Episode four, Part one was about the murder of Kellyanne Bates, who is a young woman, teenager, girl who was murdered in a terrible case of abuse and murder and grooming and awful. These are terrible stories, but you, you know, you signed up for this. Episode five, part two was about the Murdoch family murders, which just, just recently happened. Alec Murdoch killed his, his son and his wife and he's in jail. My brother has since seen Buster, but you can't even, can't make that up, that there's a rich kid named Buster at the airport. So that kid's fine, even though he probably murdered someone too. There's episode six, Part one, Drew Peterson, who was a police officer, I don't know if he's still alive, but he killed several of his wives. Like, very suspicious. Episode seven, part two, the Toolbox Killers. Two men who just murdered people in a van. Don't get in a van with a stranger. I think we know this now, but just, just in case. Episode nine, part two was about Yasir Saeed. He was a person who moved to the United States from the Middle east and his daughters were assimilating to the United States and wanted to do things like go on dates and listen to music and, you know, just be girls. And he killed them because they weren't living up to his expectations, which is terrible. Episode 10, part 1 is O.J. nicole Simpson, you know, you know, but it's always fun to talk about because I don't know, we were there. Do you remember? Are you old enough to have been there. I remember watching it on tv. The chase at least and the. And the trial. Everything. We were there. Episode 13, part 2. Chris Watts. This freaking jerkwad who killed his family and dumped the kids and the wife in a like oil tank. Just again, maybe I have something you can get divorced. Being divorced. It's fine. Just do that. Episode 14, Part 1. This dude, Pazuzu Algorand. Obviously, obviously it's not his real name, but he like said that he was like talk to Satan. He like literally had. I laugh because it's so stupid. He had the word Satan written on his arm. Like tattooed on his arm really big. Just like an ugly, ugly fox. Just like Satan. Like not even a cool like Baphomet or a cool five point whatever. How many pointed stars, whatever. A pentagram. He just had the word Satan. Anyway, he's an idiot and people died. Part oh. Episode 15, Part 2 Tiffany Cole and Michael Jackson. Not that Michael Jackson, but can you believe that someone named their child Michael Jackson? These two idiots killed an old couple that had money in the bank, but they didn't get the money, they just killed them and it's just super tragic. Episode 16, part one. This is obviously one of the saddest stories ever about Andrea Yates who in postpartum psychosis killed her children. So again, these are terrible stories. I laughed at a couple, but not that one. Episode 17, Part 2 Scott Peterson. So like another Peterson. And this is. Okay, so he killed Lacy Peterson and. And their unborn son Connor. But like there's a little bit of weirdness that there were other pregnant people killed. But then also he acted like an idiot and dyed his hair blonde and tried to go south to Mexico. But also he was only 27. So it's okay to be stupid but also like get a divorce, Scott. Don't kill your wife. Episode 19 Part 2 Ken McElroy. So Ken McElroy was a town bully in. In the south and he just died in gunfire. And no one will say exactly who killed him, but no one's sad that he's gone. Episode 21 Part 1 is my favorite murder. Taylor personally Hinderkaifeck, which is a place in Germany where they family was murdered brutally, brutally murdered. Axe murdered, found in their barn. A baby was found in the crib and they don't know who did it. I have my suspicions, but it's definitely like a. There was someone hiding in the attic for a while waiting to do this story which is scary. Episode 22, Part 1 is about gypsy Rose Blanchard and we actually Recorded this before she got out of jail. So since then she's out of jail. She was married, divorced, married again and she pregnant anyway. She's much better off learn about that. Episode 23, Part 2 the Cheshire Murders this is a nightmare. A nightmare. People broke into a house. It kind of reminds me of and I think I probably have this in the episode In Cold Blood which is one of the scariest books I've ever read. Like it was like Joanne Friends putting the Shining in the freezer. It was so scary.
So definitely recommend reading In Cold Blood and listening to that. More about that. Episode 24, part one, Lizzie Borden
So definitely recommend reading In Cold Blood and listening to that. Episode 24, part one, Lizzie Borden. Okay if you were a child of America far as is an immigrant. So he doesn't. It just wasn't part of his life as much as it's part of mine. But like the rhyme the TV movie thinking about Lizzie Borden. And then like I read some books about it, I read some articles about it. I'm not sure that she did it. And the reason I think this and I feel like no one I don't haven't seen it anywhere is there are more rooms in the attic than I was led to believe. And I was led to believe that only the Irish maid was up there. And like the Irishman has every right to be p***** because like the family was terrible to her. Everything was awful. But like someone could have hit up there, specifically the uncle. So anyway, more. More about that. Let me know what you think. Episode 24, Part 2. The Moors Murders just in Britain murdering people, throwing them into the moor, which is. Oh also that. Well, I guess since I said the word more today there's a teaser for the new Wuthering Heights that's coming out next Valentine's Day. That's the only thing I think of. I think of it more then episode where am I? 25 Part 2 Andrew Cunanan and Gianni Versace. So remember when Andrew Conanan killed Gianni Versace outside of his house? That was tragic. But did you know he was on like a killing spree? It's a lot more than. Than just that one headline. Episode 29 Ivan Milott who is a horrifying murder in Australia. There's so many Australian murders. I'm sure you listen to case file but like they're all in there and there's so many. Episode 28 was about these children who killed a child. James Bulger. It's so sad. So I don't know. Another Sad 1. Episode 30. Okay, this one's a little more fun. More fun. Jack. Jack Ruby. So I Didn't even think of this as a murder, but it definitely is a murder. Obviously, Jack Ruby, the day after JFK was killed, shot Lee Harvey Oswald on live tv. And he thought everyone was gonna say he was a hero. But, like, people p***** because now, now we have conspiracy theories forever. Even though I think Lee Harvey Oswald did it by himself and that it was potentially this. The Secret Service who was hungover. Call me, we could talk about that episode. Where am I? Oh, okay. Episode 32, Betty Lou Beets, who killed a bunch of husbands. She's a Black Widow. Episode 34 is Evelyn Nesbitt, Henry K. Thaw, and Stanford White. This goes into New York City history, architecture history. Actually, when I recorded this, I was like, right by the asylum, they ended up sending the murderer, which I thought was super, like, weird and interesting. That happened to be in New York right there. But there was a murder on top of the old Madison Square Garden, like, during a play. So very exciting. There's a lot of, like, intrigue in that one. Episode 35, Bonnie and Clyde. I mean, these two, these two idiots again, very, very bad, bad thieves. They barely got any money by the time that they were killed. They were like, literally dying. Like, the picture of him holding her. He's holding her because she can't move her leg, because her leg was down to the bone, burned by mortar oil and such. Because I got in so many car accidents. So anyway, listen to that one. Episode 40, Surindra Kohli, who is just the Jeffrey Dahmer of India. Terrible story. Episode 44, Nurse Lucy Letby, who killed a bunch of babies recently. She's been in the news. Episode 49, Armin Meiwes, who is a German man who killed and ate someone. But it was consensual. So can you do that? Probably not. Probably not. Episode 56, the Vasilka Axe murders. Another man in the attic an farmhouse in Iowa. Everyone died. Families, kids were sleeping over. Axe murder.
Doomed to Fail Pod has lots of great murder stories coming out
Episode 33, guys one, hammer. This is the terrible murder in Ukraine. It's actually our most popular episode because I think people just Google it and want to know more. So listen to that. 64, Raymond Fernandez and Martha Beck. They were a lonely hearts club. They would, like, seduce people and kill them. Episode 88, Skyler Delone. She was a child actor on Power Rangers and then tried to steal a yacht and kill people. And it was awful. Episode 100, William H. Wallace, which is very similar to Lizzie borden. And episode 103, Daniel Wozniak, who is an actor who killed someone, like in the theater. In Costa Mesa. Anyway, lots of murder stories, more to come. Please check them out. Find us anywhere.
